Playa Bowls Opening Edison Location
The beach favorite smoothie shop is putting down roots in Edison.
EDISON, NJ — Beach favorite Playa Bowls will be opening its second Middlesex County location in the coming months. The smoothie's shops Edison spot will open at 2688 Woodbridge Avenue.
No exact opening date has been announced yet, but a nearby store's Facebook page says to expect an announcement soon. Playa Bowls has one other Middlesex County location, in New Brunswick.
In the beginning, Playa Bowls were mostly found in beach towns (Belmar was its first location), but have begun spreading inland. They currently have over two dozen.

Most smoothie bowls are made with acai berries and a mix of other fruits, and sell for about $10 a bowl. Visit their website here.
