Fair Lawn Schools Start Friday Despite Flooding In Bergen County
All school buildings were open on Friday, meaning area flooding didn't stop the first day of the new year.
FAIR LAWN, NJ — Flooding from the remnants of Ida have been causing delays on public transit and closing down roads across much of North Jersey, but Ida couldn't stop one thing: the new school year.
All Fair Lawn schools are open on Friday, the district announced, meaning the first day of school is on time, and the start of the year is underway.
Possible river flooding caused slight concern for one school in the district, but eventually the district gave the all clear.
