Kutin Kids Continue Powerlifting Prominence [VIDEO]

Fair Lawn residents Naomi and Ari Kutin both set personal bests at the 100% RAW Powerlifting Worlds competition in late October.

Naomi Kutin, , and her younger brother, Ari, both took home hardware last month at the 100% RAW Powerlifting Worlds Competition in Las Vegas.

With a squat of 226 pounds, Naomi set a new federation world record for all ages in the 105-pound women's class, breaking the previous squat record of 199 pounds that she set in July.

"I'm really happy about my squat at the Worlds," Naomi wrote on her Facebook fan page, adding that she'd like to get her squat up to 250 pounds by next year. "[It] will rank 2nd on the Powerlifting Watch all-time squat rankings."

While Ari, 9, didn't set any world records, he had a successful day as well, setting personal bests and winning the Youth World Championship at the 105-pound weight class. Ari squatted 143 pounds, bench pressed 77 pounds and deadlifted 198 pounds -- double his body weight.

Naomi, who's appeared on national television and been interviewed by news publications around the globe, will be talking powerlifting on the Steve Harvey Show this Thursday, Nov. 15.
