Mick Jagger Reportedly Waffles On NJ Pork Roll-Taylor Ham Debate

During the band's second and final show in East Rutherford, Jagger reportedly waffled when it came to the proper name for sandwich.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ—So what's it gonna be, Mick?

During last Thursday’s concert at MetLife Stadium, rocker Mick Jagger offered his take – sort of – on the Garden State’s endless breakfast meat debate while recounting his visit to a popular northern New Jersey diner.

Jagger, 76, reportedly told the crowd he and his band mates grabbed Taylor ham sandwiches at the Tick Tock Diner on Route 3 in Clifton earlier that day. And, depending upon what part of the state you’re in, Jagger was either correct or incorrect since New Jersey can't seem to agree on a name for the meal.

But during the band’s second and final show in East Rutherford on Monday, Jagger waffled when it came to the proper name for the breakfast sandwich, the Asbury Park Press reported.

Jagger said the band returned to the diner that morning to dine on “pork roll at my usual booth at the Tick Tock Diner,” the newspaper reported.

According to the Asbury Park Press, the Rolling Stones didn’t eat at the diner Monday morning, but ever since last week’s concert – and the subsequent media attention the frontman’s reference garnered – fans have been showing up asking for “the Mick Jagger special” – Taylor ham, egg and cheese with disco fries.

Here is a video that shows Jagger making his original "Taylor ham" comment – as well as interviews with Tick Tock Diner employees who saw/didn't see the Rolling Stones show up at the diner:
