PSEG: Full Power in Fair Lawn, Saddle Brook by Midnight Saturday

Barring any additional outages or restoration delays brought about by Wednesday's nor'easter, both Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook should be completely back on the grid by midnight Saturday, according to PSEG's most recent restoration schedule.

As of Wednesday morning, 607, or 4.5 percent, of Fair Lawn customers and 107, or 1.6 percent, of Saddle Brook customers were still without power.

Crews are expected to finish up in Fair Lawn by midnight Friday and in Saddle Brook by midnight Saturday.

A number of municipal services continue to be affected in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and in anticipation of Wednesday's winter storm.

Fair Lawn

• Recycling pick-up of paper/cardboard at the curb has been cancelled for Thursday and Friday. Yard waste will be picked up. 
• Garbage collection is operating on a normal schedule. 
• The Community Center remains a charging, warming and comfort station Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. 
• The Senior Center is open and operating under normal conditions, minus phone service.
• The Public Library is open and operating under normal conditions. 
• Enforcement of restrictions on overnight parking and 8 a.m to 10 a.m. daytime parking has been suspended. Enforcement will resume on Nov. 13.
• The Fair Lawn mini-bus is operating on a normal schedule, although it could be delayed due to road closures.

Saddle Brook

• Residents must remove vehicles from roadways when more than three inches of snow has fall and must remain off the street until the snow has stopped and streets have been plowed sufficiently
• Tax bill payments have been extended to Nov. 30
• Restrictions regarding yard waste pick up have been suspended until Nov. 16. The department of public works will be picking up all yard waste from now until Nov. 16. Effective Nov. 19, all restrictions regarding yard waste will resume. Place all yard waste at the curb. 
• Residents may place leaves at curbside for pick up without bagging until Nov. 16. Effective Nov. 19, residents will be required to bag their leaves for curbside collection. Leaf bags will be available for residents free of charge (10 bags per address) starting Nov. 8 at Kimbridge Cartiques and Florist, 449 Market Street, Mon-Sat 9am-9pm and Sunday 9am-5pm, until supplies last. ID required. Pickup will be in rear of building at garage door.
