Man Indicted On Multiple Aggravated Assault Charges

A Monmouth County grand jury indicted a Freehold man on three third-degree crimes including an alleged assault on a Township Police Officer.

Luis Diaz, 58, of Manchester Court, was indicted for allegedly resisting arrest from two Freehold Township Police Officers while out on July 4.

According to the indictment, Diaz, resisted arrest by threatening to use physical force against the officers. Diaz was also charged with aggravated assault on a police officer by allegedly attempting to cause injury to the officer. The indictment further states that Diaz was indicted on an additional aggravated assault charge for allegedly throwing bodily fluid at one of the arresting officers.
