Obituary: John Wayne “Duke” DuBois, 67
Dubois served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post and U.S. Submarine Veterans.

John Wayne “Duke” DuBois, 67, of Freehold died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at in Freehold Township. Dubois was born in Neptune Township and was a lifelong Freehold resident.
Dubois served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a service repairman for the Borough of Freehold Water Department before his retirement.
He was a life member and Past Commander of ; a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4374, both of Freehold; and a life member of U.S. Submarine Veterans.

Dubois was predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Barbara Coley DuBois; a stepson, Thomas Decker; and a stepdaughter, Jeanne Wells.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanne Evans DuBois; a son, Jesse and fiancé Tara Gates; and a sister, Judi DuBois.

Visiting will be held at the , 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. American Legion services will be held at 7:15 p.m. and Veterans of Foreign Wars services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, at 10:30 a.m.
