Salvaged Mural Pieces Now on Display

Friday night was the grand opening of the saved Borough mural pieces exhibition at the Red Horse Gallery in the Freehold Raceway Mall.

The Freehold Borough mural pieces have found a temporary home at the Red Horse Gallery in the . In conjunction with the Arc of Monmouth County, the grand opening of the gallery was on Friday night, where community members were able to get up close to the remaining mural panels.

The gallery called, “The Art of a Community”, also shows behind the scenes blue prints of how the mural was constructed. High School students who helped with the creation of the mural’s art work is also displayed along side the mural panels.

“The Art of a Community” will run in the Red Horse Gallery (next to and Weight Watchers on the upper level of the mall) until Feb. 23.

According to FBAC member, Jeff Friedman, after the panels are displayed in the gallery they will be continually shown at schools and business for the next six months. After the panels' tour, they will be brought to their new permanent home on the side of the .
