Township Committee Names National FFA Week
The Freehold Township Committee names the week of Feb. 18 – Feb. 25 "National Future Farmers of America Week".

This Saturday, Feb. 18 will mark the beginning of National Future Farmers of America (FAA) week in Freehold Township.
At the Feb. 15 , a resolution was presented to the President and Vice President of the Monmouth County Vocational FFA Chapter and named the week of Feb. 18 until Feb. 25 “National FFA Week” to honor the chapters accomplishments.
Quoting to the FFA motto “Learning to do, doing to learn, earning to live, living to serve,” the Committee resolution honors the FFA for giving direction and purpose to the students that take an active role in agricultural education that promotes citizenship, volunteerism, patriotism and cooperation.

“I bet you a lot of people don’t even know that this even goes on and so it is very encouraging that you have young adults wanting to participate in such a thing, so congratulations,” said Committeeman Eugene Golub.
Golub presented the resolution to Monmouth County Vocational FFA President Shawn Mechowski and Vice President Hope Cahill.
