Township Man Arrested On Multiple Charges Involving an Imitation Firearm

Douglas Arthur was arrested for allegedly making terroristic threats, having unlawful possession of a weapon and having possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.

A Freehold Township man was arrested on multiple charges for allegedly making terroristic threats with an imitation firearm.

According to the complaint warrant, Township resident, Douglas Arthur, 24, of Sacramento Court, made terroristic threats while waving and discharging an imitation firearm in an in a public area. Arthur led observers to think it was a real firearm and that it was about to turned on them, causing the observers to fear for their safety.  

was called to the scene and arrested Arthur. Arthur has been charged with making terroristic threats, having unlawful possession of a weapon and having possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.

According to the complaint warrant, there was probable cause for a warrant due to Arthur having a prior criminal history.

Arthur has been remanded to the on $15,000 bail for all three charges. His first appearance will be on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 8 a.m.
