Centenary University Places Third in Statewide Ballot Bowl Conference
The annual nonpartisan initiative seeks to register and engage college-age voters in the local, statewide, and national elections.

Centenary University recently placed third in its conference for the New Jersey Ballot Bowl 2025 competition, a nonpartisan initiative to register and engage college-age voters in the 2025 general election. Organized through the University's Center for Civic Engagement, Centenary students canvassed peers on the Hackettstown campus to record their intent to vote. Those who weren’t registered were provided with a link to register online. During an awards ceremony at the New Jersey State Capitol in Trenton, Lt. Gov. Tahesha Way, center, presented Centenary's award to, from left, Diana Alzate of Bayonne, director of the First-Year Experience at Centenary; and Centenary University students Maximus Klevence (Cyclone mascot) of Philadelphia; Miguel Baldwin of Trenton; and Kacey Frein of Lexington, Va.
