Enjoy Valentine Special Menu Items In Hackettstown
One of the local eateries is planning on complimentary champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries for each table.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — With Valentine’s Day on Monday, restaurants in and near Hackettstown are offering meal and drink specials, along with regular menu items.
Andrea Bussel, who owns several restaurants in the area — including Bea McNally’s Irish Pub and Catering — told Patch that a special menu will be offered in addition to regular menu items. Reservations are recommended, with takeout available.
Bea McNally’s is located at 109 Grand Avenue. Among Valentine’s Day menu items are warming bowls of Lobster Bisque and Cream of Asparagus soups. One of the eatery’s specialty salads on the Valentine menu has roasted beets, arugula, candied walnuts, goat cheese and cherry tomatoes. There are blue point raw oysters, baked brie filled with strawberry jam and bacon-wrapped scallops, among the appetizers. Classic Beef Wellington, Filet Mignon with garlic mashed potatoes, crab stuffed flounder and a shrimp scampi infused with roasted tomatoes, are some of the entrees. Special desserts include red velvet cake, cheesecake with fresh berries and a decadent, molten lava cake.

James on Main at 105 Main Street has a two-course, prix-fixe menu. Grilled octopus, mushroom bisque and a winter green salad with champagne vinaigrette, are among the delectable starters. Roasted duck breast, pan-roasted black bass, wood-fired gulf shrimp and wood-fired New York strip steak, are some of the mouth-watering entrees. Chocolate Mousse Napoleon, the restaurant’s cheesecake of the day and the Banana Date Cake, are three from the dessert menu. The restaurant has a special curbside menu, with items available to-go. Mama’s Cafe Baci on 260 Mountain Avenue has specials for Valentine's Day, with a four-course and regular menus available. There are gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian selections.
The regular Valentine’s Day menu features unique appetizers including pear purses, filled with pear, gorgonzola, creamy parmesan, cranberries and basil. Chicken entrees including Toscana, parmigiana, Francese and white champagne, are additionally on the menu. Linguini with white clam sauce, lobster ravioli and Filet Mignon tips with shrimp and scallops linguini, are special entrees. Dessert includes tiramisu, apple crisp and New York-style cheesecake. Mama Cafe Baci’s gluten free menu has sharing appetizers, including gluten-free fried calamari and polpette, which is an appetizer with two homemade meatballs that includes shaved parmesan and ricotta cheeses. Gluten-free pasta offerings round out the menu, including eggplant rollentini and penne. Gluten-free pastas accompany the entrees from the regular menu. The vegan menu starts off with a house salad plus a sharing appetizer. Vegan scallops, fried zucchini and portabella mushrooms, are among the starters. The vegan entrees include Eggplant Francese, pasta primavera, spaghetti with vegan meatballs and agilo oilo, which is a garlic and oil infused pasta with basil and cherry tomatoes.
