Hackettstown High School Student, 17, Headbutts School Security Guard: Police
Police say the teen struck a school administrator with his backpack before headbutting a security guard.

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J.– A 17-year-old Hackettstown High School student was charged with aggravated assault after he stuck a school administrator with his backpack and headbutted a security guard, police said.
Police responded to the high school around 2:42 p.m. on Friday to speak with the student and officials,
Sgt. Darren Tynan said.

During the discussion – which stemmed from an earlier incident on a school bus – the student hit a school administrator in the back of the head with his backpack before headbutting a security guard and injuring the latter's nose, Tynan said.
The teen was released pending a court appearance, the sergeant said.
