Hackettstown Kids ‘Shopped With A Cop’ (Pictures)

The "Shop With A Cop" program through the Hackettstown-Mansfield PBA Local 369 helped make Christmas wishes happen for some local children.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Hackettstown and Mansfield police officers took to the aisles of Hackettstown’s Walmart on Tuesday with local families for their yearly “Shop With A Cop” program.

Coordinated by Hackettstown-Mansfield PBA Local 369 with help from the Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company, officers helped kids to pick out gifts, the PBA picking up the bill.

“The program is to afford children a better Christmas and to build a positive relationship between youth and law enforcement,” said Sgt. Darren Tynan, a spokesperson for the Hackettstown Police Department.
