JCP&L Planning Hackettstown Power Outage On Wednesday

The outage will be in one section of the town, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., for emergency utility work.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — The Hackettstown Police Department has alerted residents, as well as commuters ahead of schedule, that there will be a power outage and different traffic pattern in town on Wednesday.

The Hackettstown Police announced the outage on social media and Nixle on Tuesday, stating it is planned for between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25.

The police department said the power will be shut down by JCP&L for a section of Main Street, close to Center Street, with JCP&L having notified residents of the outage.

While the utility work is happening, Hackettstown Police report that there will be a single lane and lane-shifting traffic pattern on Center and East Plane Streets.
