HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Without community leaders, Hackettstown wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

Laurie is the Director of the local Business Improvement District and I am the elected Chair of the organization

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

As the Director of the BID, Laurie has greatly increased the involvement of the community and surrounding towns to increase awareness of Hackettstown businesses. She has increased the number of events and grown our traditional events, bringing so many new people into town to aid our local businesses and economy. And she has brought in many new businesses in town, filling our storefronts.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

Lori Rapisardi is tireless. She is always thinking of what could be improved and always thinking of new ideas for new innovations.
