Milling, Paving, Other Construction Coming Up In Hackettstown
There are road closures planned on Tuesday for QuickChek construction, plus milling and paving expected to happen on several streets.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Beginning on Tuesday, there will be several projects happening in Hackettstown, impacting road closures.
On Tuesday, the Hackettstown Police Department says Bells Lane at Mountain Avenue/Route 182 and Washington Street at Bells Lane and Little Street, are expected to be shut down from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., because of work taking place at the new QuickChek.
Additionally on Tuesday and Wednesday, utility work on Route 517/High Street between Old Allamuchy Road and Oak Street, is expected to reduce traffic to one lane, if utility work happens as scheduled, between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Wednesday through Friday, several roads are also planned to be milled and paved in Hackettstown.
- East Baldwin Street between Route 46/Main Street and East Prospect Street, on Wednesday, July 28 and Thursday, July 29, from about 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Richard Drive between Carol Drive and Hurley Drive; Hurley Drive between Carol Drive and Cindy Terrace; and Cindy Terrace between Hurley Drive and Route 604/Willow Grove Street, on Thursday, July 29 and Friday, July 30, from about 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Side streets connected to the roads being milled and paved will be closed as work occurs.

For people who have plans to drive on days their road is being worked on, they will need to move their cars off of their street by 6:30 a.m., the days that the milling and paving starts. Residents will be able to bring their cars home after barricades are taken down on the streets
