Mobile Motor Vehicle Office Coming Soon To Hackettstown
Residents can pre-register for help with a range of New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission services, according to town of Hackettstown.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s “agency on wheels” is scheduled to come to Hackettstown on May 3.
The mobile unit is planning to be at the Miller Street Firehouse on 101 Miller Street that day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The units, which are wheelchair accessible according to information on the town’s website, will enable people who come to use it the ability to take care of various motor vehicle services while there.
Residents can use the mobile site to:

- Renew drivers licenses, obtain a duplicate, make name or address changes to their license, add boat endorsements, provide a veteran designation or add other features.
- Obtain non-driver photo identification cards, for primary or secondary photo identification.
- Registration renewal or to obtain duplicate registration cards
- Real ID for a limited amount of customers before 11:30 a.m.
- Trade in license plates
- Pick up placards for drivers who have a disability, are a disabled veteran or are seeking a placard for a Purple Heart.
- Applications for written examination permits (tests are not administered in the mobile unit)
