NJDOT Work Could Impact Four Warren Co. Intersections Next Year
Residents are invited to learn more and provide input at a public info session on February 3 at 6 p.m.
WARREN COUNTY, NJ — A large NJDOT roadwork project is expected to affect four intersections around Warren County starting in March 2021, according to a notice posted Thursday by Washington Township. Ongoing roadwork is expected to end May 2022.
According to a Public Information Center agenda for a February 3 public meeting about the project, intersections along Routes 46, 57, and 182 will be impacted as work is done to "improve mobility and reduce congestion."
The public meeting, which will begin at 6 p.m., will provide residents the opportunity to review exhibits of the project, ask questions and discuss concerns with NJDOT.

The first roadwork site is at the intersection of Route 46 and High Street/Grand Avenue in Hackettstown. Proposed improvements here including creating a cutback to the intersection's northwest to improve alignment and turning, relocating and upgrading NJDOT signals, improving ADA ramps and resurfacing pavement.
The second site is at the intersection of Route 46, Route 182, Warren Street and Willow Grove Street in Hackettstown. Proposed improvements here include re-timing and upgrading traffic signals, improving ADA ramps and resurfacing pavement.

The third site is at the intersection of Route 46 and East Avenue in Mt. Olive Township and Washington Township. Proposed repairs to this intersection include a southeast corner cutback to improve turning, relocation of utility poles, and an upgrade to signal timing.
The fourth site is at the intersection of Route 57 and Route 182 in Hackettstown. Proposed repairs at this site include re-striping the intersection to create a double left turnaround from Route 57 to Route 182; NJDOT signal re-timing, relocation and upgrades; ADA ramp improvements; and pavement resurfacing.
The Public Information Center meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 3, at the Hackettstown Municipal Building. The address is 215 Stiger Street in Hackettstown.
According to the meeting notice, the final design of the intersections will be completed December 2020, construction will begin March 2021 and construction will be complete in May 2022.
