Piles Of M&Ms Pour Onto NJ Highway Following Tractor-Trailer Crash

WARREN COUNTY, NJ — Thousands of bags of M&Ms candy could be seen sprawled across a Warren County highway following a crash Monday night, officials said.

According to officials, around 10:15 p.m. on Monday, a tractor-trailer carrying “a full load” of M&Ms struck another tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder of I-80 West near the two-mile marker.

Several police, fire, and EMS personnel responded to the scene to find that the tractor-trailers had been totaled, and dozens of boxes of M&Ms had been spilled onto the roadway.

A detour was placed on I-80 after the two tractor-trailer drivers refused medical treatment. No injuries were reported.

Responding fire department, Knowlton Township Fire & Rescue Company No. 1, headed back to the station just after midnight, following a multi-effort cleanup.
