Pokemon Go Player Finds $2,000 In Hackettstown

According to a report by Hackettstown police, a man playing Pokemon Go recovered $2,000 that was lost Wednesday.

While one Pokemon Go player was hunting virtual creatures through the wildly-successful augmented reality app, a Hackettstown police officer was looking over surveillance video to track them down, police said.

After a person reported losing $2,000 on Main St., one Pokemon Go player stumbled across it and notified a local business in order to get it back to its owner. Hackettstown PD were able to track down the man down, who turned the money over to the police.

The name of the good samaritan was not released by police.
