Oktoberfest Will Shut Down Some Streets, Limit Parking In Hackettstown On Saturday, Sunday
With Oktoberfest most of the coming weekend in Hackettstown, these are times and places to note with roads closed and parking restrictions.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Oktoberfest is coming to Hackettstown and along with the fun, come road closures and areas in town, where and when parking won’t be allowed at times during the multi-day event.
With the festivities kicking in on Friday night at Bea McNally’s on Grand Avenue, then continuing all weekend throughout town, including Czig Meister Brewing and Man Skirt Brewing, the happenings plan to stop traffic and will limit parking in some locations, Hackettstown Police Department announced.
The main closures and parking restrictions start on Saturday, continuing through Sunday, according to a news release from Sgt. Darren Tynan, spokesperson for the Hackettstown Police Department.

Among road closures on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. are:
- Route 46 (Main Street) between Route 517 (High Street) and Liberty Street
- Valentine Street between Route 46 (Main Street) and Washington Street
- Grand Avenue between Route 46 (Main Street) and Washington Street
Tynan said drivers are going to encounter traffic delays and may like to plan alternate routes to drive to avoid the area, as Oktoberfest activities are happening.

Parking won’t be allowed on these streets on Saturday or Sunday, with police ticketing those that park in the “no parking” zones during the event; and the possibility of cars being towed:
- Route 46 (Main Street) between Liberty Street and Grand Avenue
- Valentine Street between Route 46 (Main Street) and Washington Street
- Liberty Street between Franklin Street and Route 46 (Main Street)
- Franklin Street between Liberty Street and Route 517 (High Street)
