Water Main Break Closed Mitchell Road In Hackettstown: Police

A portion of the road was shut down for about six hours on Monday, the police department said.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A water main break shuttered a part of Mitchell Road for about six hours on Monday, according to the Hackettstown Police Department.

Hackettstown police issued an alert about the break shortly after 11 a.m., stating the closure was between Victoria Lane and Arthur Terrace.

Sgt. Darren Tynan, a spokesperson for the police department, told Patch in an email that the road was closed, with traffic detoured. Tynan also said at that time, there was no information available when the repair would be completed.

The police department announced at 5:50 p.m. that the road had reopened.
