Where To Shop, Eat In Hackettstown On Small Business Saturday

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — The movement to shop small can bring great things for a community, especially during a time with supply chain interruptions and shipping delays nationwide.

As many local merchants have shared on social media throughout the country, the work of "local artists and makers are not stuck on a dock in a shipping container," with Christmas "not in danger" of not happening in 2021, or ever for that matter.

American Express started Small Business Saturday during the 2010 recession and each Saturday after Thanksgiving since, people are encouraged to support small businesses, which are the lifeblood of every community.

A resolution in the United States Senate supported Small Business Saturday a year after the first event, American Express reports, with support in every state and “it [Small Business Saturday] even gets a shout-out from the President of the United States.

Small Business Saturday is coming around again on Nov. 27. These are the ones so far that have marked themselves on American Express’ map as participating in Small Business Saturday in and around Hackettstown.
