Haddonfield Police: Alleged Bicycle Thief Arrested

A 39-year-old Camden man was arrested Tuesday for the the theft of a bike in the 200 block of Meadow Drive. 

Robert G. Smith, of Terrace Avenue, was stopped shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday riding the bike away from the victim's home, police said. The bike is valued at $700.

Smith allegedly fled when police confronted him near the scene. He was later found in the area of Coles Mill Road and identified by the victim. He was remanded to Camden County jail on a $2,500 full-cash bail.
