Haddonfield Police: Suspects, Not Storybook Characters

A Laurel Springs man was found sleeping in a home he allegedly broke in to.

The temptation to think about Goldilocks in a home in the 200 block of Douglas Ave. on Jan. 2 was quickly dashed when a resident found a 44-year-old Laurel Springs man sleeping in his bed.

Nathaniel Ray Bledsoe was arrested and charged with burglary and criminal mischief by Haddonfield Police. Bledsoe allegedly smashed through a back door to enter the property. Police were called shortly before 2:00 p.m.

Bledsoe was subsequently charged with the burglary of another property in the unit block of Wilkins Ave. on Dec. 30. Police said they believed he was homeless and breaking into homes for shelter. He was taken to Camden County jail.

Two similar thefts were reported at 8:32 and 8:25 a.m. the previous day. While
investigating a theft in the 400 block of Warminster Avenue, police recovered evidence of the theft of a package from the 100 block of Gill Road. There, at least one package had been stolen containing two Kindle Fire tablets valued at a total of $400.

At Warminster, a victim reported that someone had rifled through the contents of a
handful of packages on the doorstep, taking iPhone and iPad accessories valued at $262. Evidence was also recovered there that two other boxes had been stolen from Crest Avenue and High Street in Haddon Heights; the borough notified the Haddon Heights police for follow-up.

No arrests were reported.
