Man Fatally Shot In Camden Tuesday Night, Prosecutor Says

Michael Jones, 48, was pronounced dead at Cooper University Hospital after the Tuesday night shooting, authorities said.

CAMDEN, NJ - Authorities are investigating a Tuesday night shooting that left one man dead.

Shortly before midnight, Camden County police officers responded to the 2400 block of Sherman Avenue after hearing multiple gunshots, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez said in a statement.

Michael A. Jones, 48, was found at the scene suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, MacAulay and Rodriguez said. Jones was transported to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced dead the next day, authorities said.
