Paul VI Football Falls to Cherry Hill West [Photos]

Paul VI found plenty of ways to stake a lead against Cherry Hill West in the football season opener Monday night.

Stefon Moore-Green found a gap to rumble five yards for a touchdown.

Lonnie Moore made a handful of cuts to elude every West defender and score a 65-yard kick return touchdown.

And Alec Vignola—who had 264 passing yards on the evening—hit receiver Irvin Charles on a 90-yard strike for the Eagles' third TD.

But in the end, the Eagles didn't have an answer for West's Rodney Williams.

The Syracuse-bound senior threw for two scores and ran for two more, including the game-winner late in the fourth, as West upended Paul VI for the first time in recent memory.

The Eagles had one last shot after getting the ball back with about a minute and a half left in the game, but Vignola's 50-yard heave ended up in the hands of West's Dwuan Allen to seal Paul VI's fate.
