Polls: Thumbs Down on Half-Staff Flag and Giving Up Something for Lent

Public opinion is decidedly against Gov. Christie's decision to lower flags to half-staff after Whitney Houston's death.
Eighty-six percent of 150 respondents say they don't agree with the decision. Eleven percent did agree and two percent were unsure. You can still vote by clicking here.
A majority of 78 respondents say they don't intend to give up anything for Lent, a Christian observance that began on Wednesday, Ash Wednesday. Forty-five percent of respondents said they either intend to add something, such as volunteering or will not observe Lent. Fourteen percent said they intend to give up some sort of food, such as candy, and 10 percent said they intend to give up a vice, such as smoking.
