Wrestling: Three Move on in State Tourney

Kyle Klaus, Robert Schlitt and Kristopher Rhan move on to quarterfinals.

It was three of a kind for Haddonfield on the first day of the NJSIAA state wrestling tournament in Atlantic City. Three of the five competitors will move on to the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Kyle Klaus (112) beat Justin Bellis of High Point 14-0 after a preliminary round bye. Robert Schlitt (160) beat Anthony Vasile of Jefferson 4-3 before besting Travis Foster of Linden 8-0. Haddonfield heavy Kristopher Rhan (215) pinned Bergen Catholic's Hunter Kiselick before beating Mitchell Seigel of Marlboro 10-8 to advance to Saturday's match.

It wasn't all good news for Haddonfield. Kevin Gregorio (125) was pinned in his preliminary match against Manchester Township's Ken Theobold. Carson Stack lost to Eric Hensel of Buena 4-0 in his prelim match as well.
