1 Acre Forest Fire Extinguished In Montgomery

The fire was actively burning in the woods along a walking path in the Township, said police.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — Firefighters extinguished a forest fire that burned about one acre in Montgomery on Nov. 18.

At around 10 p.m., Montgomery Police, Montgomery Fire Companies 1 and 2, Montgomery EMS, and Rocky Hill Fire Company went to Princeton Avenue for a reported fire in the woods along the walking path behind Kingsway Commons.

"The fire was actively burning in the woods along the walking path connecting Princeton Avenue and Wall Street," said Montgomery Police.

NJ Forest Fire Service and firefighters extinguished the fire. An area of about one acre in size was burned.
