Being On NBC's Password Was 'A Dream Come True' For Hillsborough Teacher
Branchburg resident and Hillsborough High School English teacher Thomas Kida appeared in the recent episode of NBC's gameshow "Password."
SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Branchburg resident and Hillsborough High School teacher Thomas Kida made his claim to fame when he appeared on NBC's television game show "Password" this past Tuesday.
Kida said he's always been a fan of the show and decided to fill out an application to try and compete.
"I was called the same day! That NEVER happens. After several interviews, they told me I was a finalist for casting consideration, and the rest is history," said Kida to Patch.

His background as an English teacher at Hillsborough High School helped Kida prepare for the game show.
"I'm an English teacher by trade and a gamer at heart. So I did my best to play as many word games as possible, including but not limited to Wordle, Scrabble, Bananagrams, and the Password tabletop game," said Kida.

Overall Kida said "the show was amazing! It felt like a whirlwind from start to finish."
"Being on a game show was a dream come true. I always wanted a chance to be a on a nationally televised production, and now I feel like I had my moment," said Kida.
