Firefighters Stop Spread Of House Fire In Hillsborough
Volunteer firefighters went to the fire on River Road on Tuesday night.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Volunteer firefighters stopped the spread of a house fire in Hillsborough on Tuesday night.
At 8:43 p.m., the Flagtown Fire/Rescue - Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Co. #1 was called to a fire in the bathroom at a home on River Road.
Firefighters found smoke inside the home and a small fire in the second-floor bathroom, which was quickly extinguished.

Firefighters then searched the home for any spread and ventilation.
The fire was contained to the bathroom and a small area of the attic above, said the fire department.

There were no injuries.
Along with Flagtown, other fire departments that helped included Hillsborough Fire Co. 2, Hillsborough Fire Co. 3, Neshanic Fire RWJ EMS, Hillsborough Police, and the Bureau of Fire Safety —who are handling the investigation.
