UPDATE: Stray Dog's Owners Located

UPDATE 4:05 p.m.: Carmen Bisignano reported contacting the dog's owners, and has plans to return the lost pet later today—thanks to helpful tips provided by readers.

Original post: Do you recognize this dog? It was found running in the street on East Mountain Road, near Amwell Road, on Sunday afternoon by resident Carmen Bisignano and he's hoping to reunite the dog with its owner.

He said the dog has a collar but no tags; it's about five to eight pounds and may be a Sheltie or miniature collie.

"We took the dog to the vet to see if it has a microchip, but no luck," Bisignano said. "We contacted the Hillsborough police department and gave them our info if someone calls about the dog."

Bisignano said he has also posted fliers but so far, no one has contacted him.
