Hillsborough-Based Restaurant Helped Feed Pope Staff: Report

The food wasn't for the pope himself, but for his staff of security officers, motorcade drivers, police and diocesan workers.

It took a crew of full-time, part-time, and former employees, but Hillsborough’s very own Culinary Creations was able to churn out 1,100 hot meals, 670 box meals, and 300 three-foot-long sub sandwiches for each of the three days Pope Francis and his staff were in the New York City area.

The food wasn’t for the pope himself, but for his staff of security officers, motorcade drivers, police and diocesan workers, according to The Hillsborough Beacon. The restaurant’s owner Andrew Pantano Spent three nights and two 12 hour days with his staff, getting the meals prepared and ready for delivery.
