Hillsborough Democratic Organization Opens Candidate Screening for 2026 Election

The Hillsborough Democratic Organization is welcoming submissions from those interested in being a candidate for the upcoming 2026 Hillsborough Township Committee elections.

“Hillsborough is a rapidly growing community that has faced many challenges over the years and will continue to do so." stated Michele Kidd, Chair of the Hillsborough Democratic Organization. "Unfortunately, over the last 20 years of Republican control, they have made numerous questionable decisions and poorly planned for the future. We have made inroads with sitting Committeewoman Samantha Hand and the landslide win of Committeewoman-Elect Jill Gomez, but we must build on that success and take control of the Township Committee to make a difference and have a positive impact on Hillsborough’s future.”

All Democrats are welcome to seek the party’s endorsement. After an interview process, the Organization will select two Democrats to run with the party’s slogan in the June Primary.
