Hillsborough Fall Fun Guide 2025: Scarecrow Fest, Howl-O-Ween, Trunk Or Treat

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Cooler temperatures are finally coming to the area and there is plenty of Fall Fun to be had in Hillsborough Township.

Check out some of the Hillsborough Township-sponsored Fall Family Fun events for 2025:

The 5th annual Hillsborough Township Scarecrow Festival

• Date: Sept. 28 - Oct. 29
• Location: Outdoors at the Hillsborough Municipal Complex, 379 South Branch rd., Hillsborough
• Details: Throughout the month stop by for a stroll through the Scarecrow Festival Display area, view and cast your vote for your favorites that were created by local residents, businesses, organizations, schools and families.
• Awards Ceremony Event: Wednesday, Oct. 29, 4:30 to 6 p.m.
• Details: children's activities, photo spots, complimentary refreshments, and presentation of awards to the winners

The Children's Halloween Party at Norz Hill Farm

• Date: Oct. 23
• Location: Norz Hill Farm 120 South Branch Rd, Hillsborough
• Details: All registered children can go on a hayride, receive a pumpkin from the patch, walk through the kids' bale maz,e and get a goodie bag

The Hillsborough Township Parks & Recreation Howl-O-Ween

• Date: Oct. 25
• Location: outdoors at the Ann Van Middlesworth Park, Hillsborough
• Details: Dog parade and Costume contest with vendors, prizes & fun

The Hillsborough Township Parks & Recreation Trunk or Treat

• Date: Oct. 25
• Location: The Willow Road Complex, 230 Willow Road, Hillsborough
• Details: Trunk or Treat at it's best! Pre-registration is a must
