The preschool child/nursery class is a 10 credit, double period elective for Hillsborough High School juniors and seniors who are interested in career fields such as education, child psychology, and social services, or as a basis for learning good parenting skills for future family life.
The high school students spend the first semester studying the theory behind the emotional, physical and social development of preschool children. During the second semester, the students apply their knowledge in the classroom with the preschool students by planning, organizing, and supervising the program. The Hillsborough High School Preschool Program has been in operation since 1971.
