Somerset County Husband, Wife Duo To Open New Duck Donuts Shop

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Husband and wife duo Phil and Megan Suarez of Hillsborough are opening a Duck Donuts location in Flemington on Saturday.

The grand opening of the shop at 334 Route 31 North in Flemington is set for May 10 at 7 a.m.

To celebrate the grand opening, the first guest in line on Saturday, will receive one free dozen donuts per month for a year. The next 50 guests will receive a coupon for a free dozen, to be redeemed on a future visit, as a thank you for attending the grand opening.

"We are so excited to be opening the doors of Duck Donuts Flemington and bringing a taste of the Outer Banks home," said Megan Suarez. "The Flemington community has already been so supportive, and we can't wait to share this adventure with you all!"

Phil and Megan Suarez along with their three kids, Casey, Jack and Teagan have made Duck Donuts a staple part of their yearly family vacations to the Outer Banks in North Carolina.

Their first full day of vacation has always included Duck Donuts. To them, Duck Donuts is something they look forward to each year and is so much more than just the delicious donuts and other menu offerings that make Duck Donuts so special.

It's that first day of vacation feeling and celebrating being together. One day, Phil and Megan decided they needed to bring that feeling closer to home, which has brought them to today.

Duck Donuts has selected Steps Together, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring their community to pay their blessings forward and support local families facing a medical crisis, to receive its inaugural Quack Gives Back donation.

Duck Donuts is supporting the organization’s mission by donating a portion of sales from the grand opening day to Steps Together. The Quack Gives Back program promotes partnering with community groups to raise awareness and funds for their causes.

Donuts at this location will be made fresh to order 7 days a week: Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
