Hillsborough's Amsterdam Elementary School Prepares to Celebrate 25 Years

School is looking for nostalgic school t-shirts and stories from years past.

This fall, Amsterdam Elementary School will celebrate 25 years of educating students in Hillsborough, NJ. The school is currently planning a community celebration scheduled for October 2015 and is looking for former teachers, students, and/or friends to lend a hand.

In preparation for the anniversary celebration, the school is looking for nostalgic Amsterdam School t-shirts as well as some memories and stories from years past. If you have an Amsterdam Elementary School t-shirt (no matter the condition) and are willing to donate it to the celebration, please drop off the washed t-shirt at the school. Please note that it will NOT be returned.

The anniversary planning committee is also looking for special memories and stories from former students and teachers to be included in a video that is being created for the celebration. Please email any special memories or stories to Amsterdam principal Dr. Mary Ann Mullady at mmullady@htps.us to be considered.

Amsterdam School welcomed its first students in September 1990. At the time, the school housed kindergarten through 5th grade students. The school currently is home to over 525 students in kindergarten through fourth grade and over 50 teachers and support staff.
