Marching Band Festival to be Hosted by Hillsborough Raiders, Oct. 10
The Hillsborough High School Marching Raiders will host the 22nd Annual Marching Band Festival on Saturday, Oct. 10.

The Hillsborough High School Marching Raiders will host the 22nd Annual Marching Band Festival on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the High School’s Noonan Stadium.
Tickets for the festival, which begins at 3 p.m., cost $10, $8 for seniors and students with ID, and is free for those 5 and younger. Marching bands from all around the surrounding area, and one from North Carolina, are expected to attend, according to nj.com.
During the competition, bands are judged based off the 15-minute window they are given to enter the field, set up, perform, and exit the field. Hillsborough’s Marching Raiders compete in the U.S. Bands circuit, Bands of America, they perform during half time at home football games, and act as a pep band at away games.

According to The Hillsborough Beacon, the schools from the following townships are expected to perform:
- Franklin
- Hopewell Valley Central
- Manalapan
- Roxbury
- Scotch Plains-Fanwood
- South Brunswick
- Pinecrest High School, Southern Pines, N.C.
