As a former Mayor of Hillsborough Township and current Chair of the Planning Board, I have had the privilege of serving alongside Mayor John Ciccarelli and witnessing his unwavering commitment to keeping Hillsborough one of the best places to live.

Under Mayor John Ciccarelli’s leadership, Hillsborough continues to stand out for its strong fiscal management and responsible governance. The Township maintains the lowest spending per capita in Somerset County and continues to hold its AA+ S&P bond rating, a reflection of his disciplined approach to budgeting and long-term financial planning.

Mayor John Ciccarelli has also worked diligently to protect the character of our community by reducing state-mandated high-density housing by 50%, ensuring that development remains balanced and consistent with Hillsborough’s values. At the same time, he has prioritized essential investments in infrastructure, including the paving of roads and the enhancement of parks and recreational facilities—upgrades that directly improve residents’ daily lives.

Equally important, Mayor John Ciccarelli remains deeply committed to open space and farmland preservation, safeguarding the natural beauty and rural charm that define Hillsborough.

Thanks to this combination of sound planning, fiscal responsibility, and community investment, Hillsborough continues to earn recognition as one of New Jersey’s premier places to live. The Township was recently ranked in the top 20 of safest communities in New Jersey in the 2025 Safewise Report, with previous reports consistently placing Hillsborough among the safest communities in the state.

Mayor John Ciccarelli’s leadership embodies the values that have made Hillsborough a model community—strong, safe, and well-managed. I am proud to endorse him for re-election and confident that his continued leadership will keep Hillsborough thriving.
