Mother, Daughter Found Dead After Somerset County House Fire

The bodies of an elderly woman and her daughter were discovered in a county home destroyed by fire.

The bodies of an elderly woman and her daughter were discovered Wednesday afternoon in a Somerset County home destroyed by fire.

According to a report from NJ.com, Olga Bushman, 80, and her daughter, Linda Mann, 53, were found in the basement of the Manville home. The two reportedly fell to the basement after the first floor of the Harrison Avenue home collapsed, authorities said.

The Manville Fire Department responded to the scene shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday and left at 3:30 p.m., according to the report.

NJ.com said Mann never married and lived in the Manville home with her elderly mother. Authorities said there were no indications of fire detectors in the home.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze.
