On Monday, November 18, 2024, Ramesh C. Kareer, devoted husband, loving father of 3 and grandfather of 6 died at the age of 85. He passed away in his home in Hillsborough, NJ where he lived with his wife of 59 years.

Ramesh was born in Lodipur, India, on August 30, 1939. Strongly valuing education, he went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Computer Science. He married his lifelong wife, Karuna, and moved to Ranchi, India where they started their family with a beautiful daughter, Vandana. When she was 3 months old, Ramesh made the life changing move alone to America to set up a life for their new family. His wife and daughter followed shortly after, and expanded their family with two loving sons, Deepak and Vivek. While working at RCA Global Communications as a Senior Systems Manager, the family traveled around the world, including the Philippines, London, California, Connecticut, and New York, before finally settling in Hillsborough, NJ, where he spent the next 43 years.

Ramesh was a devoted religious scholar and philosopher. A lifelong learner, he continued to listen to lectures and read throughout his life. For years he played the harmonium, taking the time to give his grandchildren mini lessons. He was an avid outdoorsman, finding joy and peace with gardening, jogging and biking, and was a fan of the television show Seinfeld.

Ramesh is survived by his wife, Karuna; their 3 children, Vandana, Deepak and Vivek; daughter-in-law Reema, and 6 grandchildren, Shyam and his fiancée Michelle, Nikki, Maya, Shaan, and Roshan and brother-in-law Suresh; as well as his extended family both in the states and around the world.

A religious funeral service and cremation will be held from 1-3pm on November 21st, 2024, at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. This will be follow by a meal at Guru Palace in North Brunswick from 3-5:30pm. The service at Franklin Memorial Park will also be live streamed, starting at 1pm
