Rose Day Festival Set For June 8 At Colonial Park Gardens

Visitors can marvel at more than 3,000 beautiful roses, while also enjoying live entertainment, food trucks, artisan craft vendors, more.

FRANKLIN, NJ — Kick off the summer season by attending the Rose Day Festival at Colonial Park’s Rudolf W. van der Goot Rose Garden on Saturday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The free and vibrant festival, hosted by the Somerset County Park Commission and Park Foundation, will be held at 156 Mettlers Road, Parking Lot A, in Somerset.

Although admission is free, donations are appreciated. The event is open to all ages and will be held rain or shine. Pets are not permitted in the Rose Garden.

Visitors can marvel at more than 3,000 beautiful roses, while also enjoying live entertainment, food trucks, artisan craft vendors, picnicking on the lawn, and an activity station for children. Rose plants will also be available for sale at the event.

  • 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Borderline (Bluegrass Trio)
  • 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. – Zydeco-a-Go-Go (Zydeco & Cajun)
  • 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. – Dorsten (Folk Rock and Americana)
