Scholarship Application Deadline Extended Until March 20
Due to weather events this winter, Hillsborough Township extended an application deadline to March 20.
Hillsborough Mayor Doug Tomson announced the deadline for the New Jersey League of Municipalities’ Louis Bay II, Future Municipal Leaders Scholarship Competition has been extended to Friday, March 20.
“Based on recent weather events, we have extended the March 10 deadline until March 20th,” Tomson said in a statement. “The Township partnered with the Hillsborough School district to afford Hillsborough Students the opportunity to participate in this scholarship competition.”
The Louis Bay II Future Municipal Leaders Scholarship Competition offers three $1,000 statewide scholarships. The scholarship program is intended to advance the virtues of elected and volunteer positions in municipal government while raising awareness of municipal government in general, according to the New Jersey League of Municipalities.
