TV's 'Produce Pete' Praises Auten Road Students

Says future's in good hands, after meeting students Wednesday.

After visiting Auten Road Intermediate School on May 22, Peter Napolitano—known as TV's "Produce Pete" from NBC's Weekend Today Show—feels better about the future.

Napolitano visited fifth- and sixth-grade students at the school to share information about not only the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables, but also how to find the best tasting ones to enjoy.

His presentation was part of an assembly on healthy lifestyle choices at the school, and Napolitano happily answered student questions that also covered his TV career and more.

After leaving, Napolitano was clearly impressed—on Saturday's broadcast of his segment, he expressed how impressed he was by the Hillsborough students.

"If we're worried about the future, all you have to do is go to that school and talk to those kids, because these kids were absolutely great," he said.
