Valeria Reinoso Named Somerset County VoTech Student Of The Month For May
Reinoso's teachers noted not only her outstanding work in the classroom, but also her kindness, respectfulness, and caring personality.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Valeria Reinoso of Hillsborough, a Junior in the Health Occupations program at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS), has been selected as Student of the Month for May 2025. Valeria is the daughter of Nancy Cardenas and Victor Reinoso.
In the nominations for this honor, Valeria’s teachers noted not only her outstanding work in the classroom, but also her kindness, respectfulness, and caring personality. They also all agreed that she is hard working, putting maximum effort into everything she does.
Valeria is involved in multiple activities at SCVTHS. She is a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Rotary Club, and HOSA (an organization for future health professionals). She also serves as a Peer Mentor and visits middle schools throughout Somerset County as a Student Ambassador, talking to students about SCVTHS. Valeria also volunteers in many school events, including the Fall Leaf Clean-up and the SCVTHS Coat Drive.

In addition to her schoolwork and extracurricular activities, Valeria is also in the process of completing her Certified Nursing Assistant certification course and has been awarded a scholarship in recognition of her hard work in pursuit of this training.
When she is not studying or engaged in extracurricular activities, Valeria works at CVS and uses her down time to relax and read.

Valeria hopes to pursue a career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, continuing the caring attitude that her teachers cited when recommending her as Student of the Month.
