Interim Superintendent Resigns In Hopatcong
The process to find a new permanent superintendent is already underway in the borough.

HOPATCONG, NJ — Hopatcong's interim superintendent Paul Saxton has resigned from the position, Board of Education officials said.
Anthony Fasano, the Board of Education president, made the announcement on the school's website. Dr. Joanne Mullane will begin as acting superintendent on Aug. 19, and will hold the position until Sept. 25, or until a permanent superintendent is hired.
"The Hopatcong Board of Education wishes to thank Mr. Saxton for his dedication, leadership, and service to The Hopatcong Borough School District. We wish him the best of luck on his next endeavor," Fasano wrote, later adding, "This position is not foreign to Dr. Mullane as she has served in this role last year. The Board of Education is confident in Dr. Mullane as she has a tremendous amount of experience at Hopatcong Borough Schools and knows this district as well as anyone."
