NJ Woman Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Idling Pickup: Police
The woman was airlifted to a nearby hospital, after police said she started up the truck and it hit her in the driveway.
WANTAGE, NJ — State police said a Sussex County woman was seriously injured Thursday after being struck by a pickup truck in her driveway.
The truck was parked and unoccupied in the driveway on Compton Road in Wantage, police added. According to officials, the 38-year-old woman started the Ford pickup, which has a manual transmission, around 2 p.m.
After the woman stepped back out of the now-running truck, police said the pickup moved forward and hit her, causing serious injuries. First responders transported the woman via helicopter to an area hospital.

Officials said the incident is still under investigation. The woman's condition was not listed Friday morning.
